Baraja: "We want to dedicate the victory to the victims and those affected by the 'DANA'"
The coach previews the game against Real Betis
Valencia CF president Anil Murthy spoke to VCF Media Radio after the final whistle at Mestalla, with the team having emerged victorious in their game against Granada CF.
Evaluating the game
"It was a another great victory for the team. I arrived in Valencia from Singapore at 2pm and was very tired, but I rushed to Mestalla to experience this great win. We continue to grow in LaLiga and on our return from the international break we have a huge final against Chelsea. This team deserve everybody's support and affection, as they are showing that -despite all the injuries and setbacks- all of the players want to go out there, fight and take the win for the fans."
Parejo's disallowed goal
"It was a spectacular goal by Dani Parejo. I'm not going to comment further than that, but the goal that was ruled out was spectacular. When these things happen they can be difficult to overcome, but this team never stop fighting. They showed that they have a very strong character and personality."
Support from Mestalla
"Today it was shown onc again that we can win every game at Mestalla. We have also shown that the fans and the team are united."
Moving up in LaLiga
"The international break will be important for us. We are going to have players back from injury. After the break we travel to play Real Betis, then -as I said before- we have a final at home with qualification for the Champions League knockout stage at stake."
The donations to the Benferri-Oleza school rebuilding fund
"We wanted to show our support. Valencia CF and the fans have helped make sure that many children from Alicante who dream of playing for this club have an easier opportunity."
